About

“Magician” stands for creating infinity — turning the impossible into the possible. We are a specialist engineering company that designs and builds facade works.

From design and manufacture through installation and site management to finishing and maintenance, one company takes the whole facade package: drawings, materials, construction and after-sales all sit inside one responsibility. Clients do not have to shuttle between firms.

  • Finishing & maintenance

Sectors

The work we take on from world-class standards to luxury residences

  • World-class standards

Facade systems designed and accepted to the internationally recognised curtain wall standards: structural loads, wind pressure, water tightness and air permeability are checked item by item, and the drawings, calculations and test records can all be reviewed.

  • Hong Kong landmarks

Facade works on landmark buildings in Hong Kong. Form, panel divisions and lighting have to answer the building's own language, and the programme has to account for the public and the surroundings.

  • Commercial towers

Curtain walls, doors, windows and entrance systems for Grade A and office buildings, balancing appearance and daylight with easy future cleaning and repair.

  • Luxury hotels

Hotel facades including balconies, canopies and metal forms. Junctions and surface finish carry a higher standard, so finishing and panel-by-panel inspection are completed before handover.

  • Luxury residences

Curtain walls, aluminium doors and windows and railings for residential projects, focused on water tightness, acoustics and ventilation; upkeep is planned around how residents will actually live with it.

  • Malls and shopfronts

Frontages, shop windows and entrance systems for malls and shops; light coves, junctions and signage positions all have to stand up to daily footfall and cleaning.

  • Government works

External walls, doors and windows for hospitals, police stations and other public facilities; the programme is worked around how the facility operates day to day, with drawings and test records that can be reviewed.

  • Public housing

External walls, aluminium windows and railings for public housing estates; one set of standard details repeated across every unit, with water tightness and durability as the priorities.

Values

The four principles and the six values are what we in the company have held to from the start — not slogans on a wall, but something we put into practice every day.

  • Build with heart Treat every project as if we were going to live in it ourselves.
  • Customer first Understand the client's requirements and feedback from every angle, and make the adjustments that fit best.
  • Safety above all The programme gives way to safety. No exceptions. Everyone on site goes home safe every day.
  • Quality at the core No jerry-built work — so that everyone can live with peace of mind.
  • Integrity

If we quote a price, a programme or a specification, we deliver it. The same measure applies to clients, suppliers and colleagues: we do only what is compliant, and we say early when something cannot be done.

  • Excellence

Every new project and every handover
banks the experience that makes the next one better
What needs fixing goes into our notebook
    Always learning, always improving

  • People

No one gets squeezed — when it's time to rest, rest
The company is a second home to the people who work here

  • Courage

We are willing to rethink the methods we are used to. Where a technology or a practice pays off in the long run we put resources behind it, and we set aside room of our own to try and fail.

  • Collaboration

Design, factory, site and suppliers work from one set of information. Changes to drawings, materials and programme are updated in step, not passed on by word of mouth.

  • Accountability

We deliver the result and own it to the end. When something is difficult or the boundary is unclear, we step up and deal with it rather than waiting to be told.

Commitment

  • Responsibility

One party responsible from drawing to handover

Design, supply, installation, supervision and maintenance are all ours.

    How we work

Facade design and supply, structural calculation, site installation, project management and supervision, finishing and maintenance are all carried out by one team, so responsibility never breaks.

  • Qualification

    A properly qualified construction team

Every project is built to the specification in the works contract.

    How we work

Sequence and materials are checked item by item against the drawings and the works contract, and there is a record from structural calculation through to site installation — all reviewable.

  • Schedule

Finishing on time is something you can plan

An experienced management team supervises every project.

    How we work

Sequence and manpower are programmed to the works contract, other trades are coordinated, and materials and fabrication progress are confirmed early so that no trade waits on another.

  • Quality

Quality assured to the client's requirements

From facade components to the look of the finish, the client's requirements are the acceptance standard.

    How we work

Finishing and touching up follow completion, and a maintenance service follows handover, so the facade keeps the condition it should have.
